How does one become 'more human'? Or find real joy that lasts forever? Next time on No Falling Word, Liam Goligher uses two royal invitations, one from the earthly kingdom of David, and another from the heavenly kingdom of Jesus, to help us understand what we were made for!

David was a forerunner of Christ, and the great hallmark of both their lives was obedience to the will of God. Next time on No Falling Word, Liam Goligher helps us make connections between the colossal stories of David and Jesus, and the 'little stories' of our own lives today.

Grief is a powerful emotion; sometimes it lasts for a lifetime. We often need our poets and songwriters to help us put words and structure to our grief. Next time on No Falling Word, Liam Goligher draws structured sorrow from a lament, written by King David, for the mighty that have fallen.

Have you ever experienced a sudden reversal of emotions? Maybe things were looking bleak and you were surprised with good news - or the other way around. Next time on No Falling Word, Liam Goligher tells the story of a day in the life of David. A day that begins with a victory dance and quickly turns to anguish when the news arrives that the mighty have fallen.

Death is unavoidable - it comes to everyone. Of course this was true for  Saul, Israel's first king; he died a miserable death on a dark day. Yet the death of Israel's first king points us forward a thousand years to the death of Israel's final and forever King - Jesus. Next time on No Falling Word, Liam Goligher will preach "The King is Dead," and still we will say "Long live the King!"

William Cowper, poet and hymn writer, wrote: "Sometimes a light surprises the Christian while he sings; It is the Lord, who rises with healing in His wings; When comforts are declining, He grants the soul again; A season of clear shining, to cheer it after rain." Next time on No Falling Word, Liam Goligher discusses these happy surprises and "seasons of clear shining" that accompany the Christian life... once in a while.

The Christian life is not a theoretical science. Practically, it can be messy, and things can get complicated. This was certainly true of David's life when he was living among the Philistines. Next time on No Falling Word with Liam Goligher, we'll bite our nails when David finds himself on the horns of a dilemma.

The occult is certainly real; divination and witchcraft have been around for ages. But it is evil, pagan, and repeatedly prohibited by God in the Bible. Nevertheless, God is not at all afraid to hijack a seance, as we will learn next time on No Falling Word, when Liam Goligher concludes "Bewitched."

Fear and dread plagued King Saul for many years. On the very last night of his life, Saul is truly terrified; and where a person turns when he is terrified says a lot about him. Saul turns to a witch, and it doesn't end well for him. Next time on No Falling Word, Liam Goligher preaches..."Bewitched."
